SuperPAL Let’s Walk Together Meetup
Walking is one of best exercises older adults can do for their balance, cardiovascular health, and weight loss. As people get older, many find they can’t keep up with the same exercise routine they may have had for years, including jogging. Fortunately, walking can be just as effective as jogging. Low-intensity exercises like walking have plenty of health benefits that can keep you active and feeling healthy.
The benefits of walking for older adults include:
- Reduce risk of heart disease, diabetes, and prevent osteoporosis
- Stronger muscles and improve body balance
- Improve mood (more exercise, more outdoor time, and more sunshine can all help improve mental well-being)
- A better social life and many more!
